For generations, Black hair has been more than style.

It has been a language.

It has been my identity.

From braids to afros to locs, Black hair has carried stories of ancestry, creativity, survival, and pride. Yet throughout history, the same hair that represents culture and beauty has often been misunderstood, regulated, or even criticized.
